| MUK Driving School Policies

  • Student must always bring their Learner’s License at the time of the driving lesson.
  • One Hour driving lesson will be $90.00 + GST for 60 Minutes in duration and will include a minimum of 55 minutes of practice time behind the wheel. Student will get a debrief from Instructor at the end of every lesson.
  • Road Test package starts from $190.00 + GST includes 60 minutes of warm up lesson and use of car at the Road Test.
  • Student or Parents will receive Progress Report/Report card at the end of the day for all the Tasks have been done in a lesson.
  • There will be no additional person in the vehicle during the student’s lesson time other than the Instructor; so that students can focus on developing their skills.
  • For road tests, all students must bring in 2 pieces of valid government issued identification along with his/her driving license (e.g., Passport, birth certificate, PR card etc.).
  • 15 Minutes Policy: Instructors can arrive 15 minutes early or 15 minutes late for the lesson in case if they are closer to your location or far from it. Students will get full lesson of 1 hour for them.
  • Note: For the safety of our students and instructors, all our training vehicles are equipped with in cabin dashcam to record inside and outside of the vehicle.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to have his/her driver’s license valid (not expired) at the time of training as well as road test. In case, the student is unable to provide/show the valid license, the student will not be allowed to drive and the full fees of that training session/ road test package will be charged to the student.

Fees Policy:

  • To complete the registration process, you’ll need to pay your fees for the driving lessons in advance.
  • Any remaining fees owed to the driving school MUST be paid prior to the road test.
  • Student must bring sufficient funds to pay for the ICBC Road Test. It costs approximately $35.00 for the class 7 license and $50.00 for class 5 license. When the student has passed, they should have another $75.00 to pay the licence fee.
  • All the training session prices are subject to 5% GST.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.

Cancellations:

If you wish to cancel a driving lesson, we require 48 Hours of notice otherwise a cancellation fee of $50.00 will be assessed.

Any cancellation or reschedule notice received less than 24 hours from the date and time of the scheduled lesson is subject to a payment for the full amount of the applicable lesson.

Note: For canceling a Road Test Appointment made by MUK Driving School, we require 72 hours of notice, as we must notify ICBC. Failure to do so may result in the student having to pay an additional $25.00 Road Test Cancellation Fee to ICBC.

Late:

If you are within 15 Minutes late, you will receive the balance of your scheduled lesson and charge for the full lesson. If you are late beyond 15 Minutes or Cancel the lesson on the Spot, the instructor will leave, and you will be considered as a NO SHOW lesson (no refund or reschedule for that lesson).

Refunds:

  • There will be no refund for driving lessons or road test sessions that have taken place.
  • Refunds will be paid for unused lesson(s) provided notice is received by the academy 48 Hours prior to the scheduled lesson(s). The cancellation fee will apply to refunds requested within 48 hours of a scheduled lesson or road test.
  • Processing fees of $50.00 will be applied on any cancellation process.
  • For refunds on packages, lessons used will be charged as according to the individual driving lesson rates.
General requirements and procedures:
  • Student must provide a valid BC Learners Driver’s License before any lesson.
  • Lessons purchased for a student cannot be transferred to any other existing, past or future students.
  • All students must be registered and paid in advance and no later than the first lesson.
  • Students are expected to complete their packages with-in six months from the day of registration.
  • No refund or lessons will be given for incomplete courses after six months. Ideally, minimum of one lesson per week will be expected from all students. Appointments will be booked at first come basis.
  • The Academy may cancel your schedule appointment for any unforeseen: For example, instructor being sick, car breaking down or poor road conditions. Students will be notified as soon as possible. The lesson will be rescheduled.
  • The academy can cancel your lesson with NO refunds, if the student is suspected of being under the influence of Alcohol, drugs or using foul, abusive or aggressive language.
  • The academy may reserve the right to claim against the students who cause an accident on road or get any violation ticket.
